Creta Private Tours – Cancellation & Refund Policy
1. General Philosophy
At Creta Private Tours, we understand that plans can change. We are committed to providing fair and transparent cancellation terms. As we allocate guides, vehicles, and other resources specifically for your private tour, our policy is designed to balance flexibility with the operational costs of last-minute cancellations.
2. Standard Cancellation Terms
- Full Refund: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled tour start time are eligible for a 100% refund.
- No Refund: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour start time are not eligible for a refund.
- No Modification/No-Show: Changes or modifications requested less than 24 hours before the start time cannot be accommodated, and “no-shows” on the day of the tour are charged the full price.
3. Flexible Policy Option (Recommended for High-Value Tours)
Consider offering a more flexible tier for peace of mind, which can be priced slightly higher or offered as an option:
- Flexible Rate: Cancellations made at least 7 days (168 hours) in advance receive a 100% refund.
- Cancellations between 7 days and 24 hours before the tour receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance receive no refund.
4. Exceptions for Extenuating Circumstances
We recognize that certain unforeseen events are beyond your control. In cases of provable medical emergencies (doctor’s note required) or serious family emergencies, we will work with you to reschedule your tour or provide a refund, subject to management approval. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
5. Weather & Operator Cancellations
- Your safety and enjoyment are our priority. If Creta Private Tours must cancel a tour due to severe weather, operational issues, or force majeure events, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule to a mutually agreeable time.
- For light rain or typical weather conditions, tours operate as scheduled. We recommend bringing appropriate clothing.
6. Refund Process

- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
- Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.
7. “No-Show” Policy
Failure to arrive at the designated meeting point at the scheduled time is considered a “no-show” and will result in the full cost of the tour being charged, with no refund or rescheduling option.
8. Booking Modifications
Requests to reschedule a tour are subject to availability and must be made at least 24 hours in advance. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.
